Log Cabin Republicans of Nevada Endorse Drew Johnson for Clark County Commission
Drew Johnson, Candidate for Clark County Commission, District F, has earned the endorsement of the Log Cabin Republicans of Nevada.
Log Cabin Republicans is the nation’s original and largest organization representing LGBT conservatives. The organization supports Republican principles of limited government, a strong national defense, free markets, low taxes, personal responsibility and individual liberty.
Ed Williams, Chapter President of the Log Cabin Republicans of Nevada, said, “It is clear to us that Drew Johnson is the only candidate (Republican or otherwise) in this race with a long and public history of defending the taxpayer and exposing government waste.”
Johnson has served as a budget policy analyst, taxpayer watchdog and government waste expert at organizations including the National Taxpayers Union, the Taxpayers Protection Alliance, The Washington Times and Newsmax.
“I am honored to earn the endorsement of the Log Cabin Republicans of Nevada,” said Johnson. “Log Cabin Republicans have done amazing work to fight back against the small-minded liberal narrative that the LGBT community is a monolith where everyone thinks the same and votes the same.”
“Log Cabin Republicans are leading the way in showing there is a place in the Republican Party for everyone who believes in less government, free markets and personal freedom,” Johnson said.
Johnson and his wife, Sarah, strongly believe in making the GOP a more inviting place for LGBT, female and minority voters. This was noted by Williams in a letter announcing the endorsement. “Our members were particularly impressed with [Johnson’s] desire to lead by example in building a bigger tent for the Republican Party,” Williams wrote.
Williams called Drew a “rising star” in a “new generation of Republican candidates.”
