Las Vegas, NV – Today, Republican congressional candidate Drew Johnson called on Heidi Kasama, his GOP primary challenger in Nevada’s 3rd congressional district, to formally apologize for approving $35,000 in donations to Congressional HAMAS sympathizers Rashida Tlaib and Ilhan Omar.
Kasama has served on the finance committee for the National Association of Realtors since 2017, according to her official legislative website. Under Kasama’s direction, the National Realtors Association PAC directed $21,000 in contributions to Rep. Rashida Tlaib and another $14,000 to Rep. Ilham Omar, both of whom are members of a small leftist extremist faction in the U.S. House known as “the Squad.”
Reps. Ilhan Omar and Rashida Tlaib have recently come under fire for their stark anti-Israel rhetoric, which has incited violence against Jews. Just last week, a Minnesota synagogue leader was stabbed and killed in Tlaib’s district.
Tlaib has been criticized for erroneously claiming Israeli forces bombed a Gaza hospital during a Capitol Hill rally that led to more than 300 arrests.
“The fact that Kasama would be a part of an organization that continually gives money to such dangerous fringe candidates is unconscionable,” said Johnson. “The tragic attacks on Israel are an appalling humanitarian disaster. We as Americans must do all we can to stand with their people.”
